Psychic Routing: Upper Bounds on Routing in Private DTNs

چکیده
We present early work investigating a one-way delay-tolerant communications channel which affords its users perfect unobservability at the price of a limited bitrate. We suggest an unrealizable protocol, Psychic Routing, against which we can compare the performance of concrete DelayTolerant Networking routing schemes. We then use Psychic Routing to evaluate the performance of routing in our perfectly unobservable channel.

Beaconing-Aware Optimal Policies for Two-Hop Routing in Multi-Class Delay Tolerant Networks
In Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs), two-hop routing compromises energy versus delay more conveniently than epidemic routing. Literature provides comprehensive results on optimal routing policies for mobile nodes with homogeneous mobility, often neglecting signaling costs. Routing policies are customarily computed by means of fluid approximation techniques, which assure solutions to be optimal on...
متن کاملAnycast Routing in Delay Tolerant Networks
Anycast routing is very useful for many applications such as resource discovery in Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs). In this paper, we first analyze the anycast semantics for DTN based on a new DTN model. Then we present a novel metric named EMDDA (Expected Multi-Destination Delay for Anycast) and a corresponding routing algorithm for anycast routing in DTNs. Extensive simulation results show tha...
متن کاملCCS-DTN: Clustering and Network Coding-Based Efficient Routing in Social DTNs
With the development of mobile Internet, wireless communication via mobile devices has become a hot research topic, which is typically in the form of Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs). One critical issue in the development of DTNs is routing. Although there is a lot research work addressing routing issues in DTNs, they cannot produce an advanced solution to the comprehensive challenges since only ...
متن کاملModeling Redundance-based Routing in Delay Tolerant Networks
Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs) are usually intermittently connected mobile wireless networks. Routing in delay tolerant networks is a challenging problem because DTNs have their own unique features and some well-known assumptions of traditional networks are no longer true in DTNs. Various routing schemes have been proposed in literature which adopt message redundance to fasten the message deliv...
متن کاملSocial-Based Data Routing Strategies in Delay Tolerant Networks
Delay Tolerant networks (DTNs) are intermittently connected mobile networks in which the end-to-end paths do not exist. Data delivery in such networks relies upon the contacts that use “store-carry-and-forward” paradigm to forward message from one node to another. However, such intuitive methodology encounters low message delivery ratio and high data transmission delay when applying to differen...
